Suseenthiran brings Bharathiraja, Sasi into film on women's Kabbadi.
Sports films used to be a rarity in Tamil cinema until Suseenthiran made his debut with a critically acclaimed movie Vennila Kabbadi Kuzhu on a less known sport, although it is virtually a native game of Tamil Nadu.
Now, Suseenthiran brings ace Bharathiraja and actor and filmmaker Sasi Kumar together for yet another film on Kabbadi. Titled Kennedy Club, this time around he is dealing with women's Kabbadi, still a neglected sport.
Soori, Munishkanth, newcomer Meenakshi, Gayathri, Neethu, Sowmya, Smrithi, Soundarya and a few more prominent actors will be a part of the cast. Talks are going on with a well known Bollywood villain actor to essay the role of a North Indian coach.
D Imman is composing music for KC while the cinematography is being handled by R.B. Gurudev and Thai Saravanan is producing the film for Nallusamy Pictures. The film is set against the backdrop of Palani and Susee confirms the movie will be releasing for the festive occasion of Tamil New Year Day.
Interestingly, Susee’s father is the founder of a renowned Kabaddi club that has been in the game for over 40 years. It has given coaching and trained many players who have brought national and international honours to the country. The film will also include some real life women Kabaddi players as well.
